American actress. Born Ardis Anderson, Sept 29, 1915, on Negros Island, Philippines; died July 30, 1992, in Palm Springs, CA; m. Richard Gaines (div. 1940); m. William Holden (actor), 1941 (div. 1970).

Leading player in such films as The Sea Hawk, South of Suez, Espionage Agent, The Constant Nymph, Something for the Boys, Whispering Smith and The Iroquois Trail.
