American screen actress. Born Mary Jeanette Moran, Oct 23, 1918, in Clinton, IA; died Oct 25, 2002, in Camarillo, CA, as a result of injuries from auto accident; dau. of Earl Moran (artist) and Louise Moran (Denishawn dancer); m. Henry Koster (director), 1942 (died 1988).
Made film debut in Boy Meets Girl (1938), followed by Ninotchka, The Mummy's Hand, Rhythm of the Saddle, Trail of the Vigilantes, Spring Parade, Argentine Nights, One Night in the Tropics, Horror Island, Flying Cadets, Drums of the Congo and King of the Cowboys, among others.
