Nerina, Nadia (1927–)

South African ballet dancer. Born Oct 21, 1946, in Capetown, South Africa; trained with Dorothea McNair and Eileen Keegan in Capetown.

Moved to England where she studied at Sadler's Wells ballet school before joining the company (1947); performed in numerous works by Frederick Ashton, including Cinderella (1948), Homage to the Queen (1953), Variations of a Theme by Purcell (1955), Birthday Offering (1956) and as Lise in La Fille Mal Gardée (1960); had title role in Robert Helpmann's Elektra (1963) and danced in his Miracle in the Gorbals; retired (1966).
