Thai novelist. Name variations: (pseudonym) Sod Dok Mai. Born M.L. Bupha Kunjara in 1905 in Thailand; died 1963; half-sister of Boonlua Kunjara Debyasuvan (Boonlua).
One of pioneers of Thai modernism; novels reflect conflict between Western and Thai values and customs, and often focus on female protagonists from elite class; works include Sattru Khong Chao Long (1929), Nit (1929–30), Khwam Phit Khrang Raek (1930), Karma Kao (1932), Ubattihet (1934), Chai Chana Khong Luang Naruban (1935), Phu Di (1937), and Ki Lae Lok (1940); also published 2 collections of short stories.
