American gymnast. Name variations: Elizabeth Okino. Born June 4, 1975, in Uganda, Africa; dau. of Ugandan father and Romanian mother.
Placed 2nd all-around at US nationals and Arthur Gander Memorial (1990); won Recontre Beaucaire (1990) and American Cup (1991); at World championships, won a bronze medal for balance beam and silver for team all-around (1991) and silver for uneven bars (1992); at Barcelona Olympics, won a bronze medal in team all-around (1992); began hosting the tv show "Z-Games" for the Disney channel (2000).
