American screen actress. Born May 19, 1889, in Springfield, MA; died July 10, 1946, in Los Angeles, CA; dau. of Lew Short (actor); sister of Antrim Short (actor) and Gertude Short (actress).
Made film debut in Damaged Goods (1914), followed by When You and I Were Young, The Outsider, Public Defender, The Hohenzollerns, Way Down East, The Light of New York and The Enchanted Cottage, among others.
