Zhao Luorui (b. 1912)

Chinese poet, translator and educator. Born 1912 in China; University of Chicago, PhD, 1949.

Taught literature at Beijing University; translations include T. S. Eliot's The Wasteland (1922), Longfellow's The Song of Hiawatha (1855), and Whitman's Leaves of Grass (1855); co-edited first History of European Literature (1979) in Chinese.
