English surgeon. Name variations: Dame Louisa Aldrich Blake. Born Louisa Brandreth Aldrich in Essex, England, in 1865; died in 1925; graduated from London University, 1892, M.D., 1894; master in surgery, 1895.

The first woman to be qualified as an English surgeon, Louisa Aldrich-Blake was named dean of the London School of Medicine for Women in 1914.
