Goodson, Katharine (1872–1958)
English pianist who was popular on concert stages throughout Great Britain. Born on June 18, 1872, in Watford, England; died in London on April 14, 1958; married Arthur Hinton (1869–1941).
Katharine Goodson studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Oscar Beringer and in Vienna with Leschetizky. She had a fine reputation and was especially popular with British audiences. Though she played mostly the standard repertory, Goodson ventured to perform novelties like the Delius Concerto and the Concerto by her husband, Arthur Hinton.
