D’Haene, Rafaël

D’Haene, Rafaël, Belgian composer and teacher;b. Gullegem, Sept. 29, 1943. He studied piano with E. del Pueyo in Brussels and composition with Dutilleux in Paris (Licence de Composition, 1968) and Legley at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth in Brussels. In 1970 he became prof, of counterpoint and fugue at the Brussels Cons, and prof, of musical analysis at the Chapelle Musicale Reine Elisabeth.
