Linde, (Anders) Bo (Leif)

Linde, (Anders) Bo (Leif), Swedish composer, pianist, and music critic; b. Gävle, Jan. 1,1933; d. there, Oct. 2, 1970. Following initial training with Bengtsson and Bökman, he studied at the Stockholm Musikhög-skolan (1948–52) with Larsson (composition) and Wibergh (piano) before pursuing studies in conducting in Vienna (1953–54). He taught theory at the Stockholm Citizens’ School (1957–60), and then returned to Gävle as a pianist, music critic, and composer. He composed in a well- crafted style notable for its adherence to classical forms in an accessible idiom.
