Foundation for the Advancement of Aboriginal Youth Bursary Program (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To provide scholarship assistance to qualified individuals who want to pursue their post-secondary education. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a Canadian resident, of First Nation, Metis or Inuit heritage and attending either a high school or a post-secondary institute full-time within Canada. Criteria: Recipient will be selected based on financial need, academic and career commitment, contribution to family and community, and leadership and role model qualities.
Funds Avail.: $750. To Apply: Applicant must complete the application form available online; must be provide proof of First Nations, Inuit or Metis ancestry; must have two signed, original letters of support; must provide a copy of the most recent official school transcripts and report card; must include a letter of acceptance; must provide a recent color photo. Application form and other supporting documents must be sent to the Foundation for the Advancement of Aboriginal Youth, c/o Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business, 250 The Esplanade, Ste. 204, Toronto, ON M5A 1J2. Deadline: October 15.
