Canadian Hard of Hearing Association Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To offer financial assistance and recognition to hard of hearing and deafened students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be students registered in a full-time program at a recognized Canadian college or university, with a goal of obtaining a diploma or degree; must be either hard of hearing, deafened or orally deaf. Criteria: Selection of applicants will be judged by a number of criteria including academic achievement, determination to cope with hearing loss, and community involvement.
Funds Avail.: $1,000. To Apply: Application forms are available online. Applicants must submit a copy of the most recent school transcript; must have a personal statement, and two letters of reference. Deadline: January 31. Remarks: Established in 2002.
