The Privy Council Office:
- provides advice and support to the Prime Minister on his full range of responsibilities as head of government, and on the overall effective conduct of government. The subject of advice ranges from management of the federation, security and intelligence matters, organization of government to senior appointment issues
- provides advice to the Ministry as a whole, as well as policy and secretariat support to Cabinet and Cabinet committees in their decision-making process
- is responsible for the quality of expert, professional and non-partisan advice and service by the Public Service to the Prime Minister and the Ministry (the Clerk of the Privy Council is Head of the Public Service).
Le Bureau du Conseil privé:
