BROX, Jane (Martha). American, b. 1956. Genres: Poetry, Adult nonfiction. Career: Has worked as a baker, a cook, and a bookstore clerk; has worked on her family farm; Harvard Extension School, Cambridge, MA, instructor and tutor in writing, workshop leader, 1994-; freelance writer and poet, 1985-. Has also taught classes and workshops for the Brockport Writers' Forum, Harvard Summer School, Provincetown Fine Arts Work Center, and Centrum Writers Conference; The Loft, Minneapolis, MN, nonfiction writer-in-residence, 1996; Vermont Studio Center, writer-in-residence; Harvard University, Cambridge, visiting lecturer in creative writing, 2002-04. Has written commentary for National Public Radio's Living on Earth program. NEA grant, 1994. Publications: EDITOR: (with K. Aponick and P. Marion, and contrib.) Merrimack: A Poetry Anthology, 1992.
