Class Act ★★½ 1991 (PG-13)
Rappers Kid ’N' Play team up once again in this role reversal comedy. A straightlaced brain and a partying, macho bully find their school records and identifications switched when they enroll in a new high school. This turns out to be good for the character of both young men, as the egghead learns to loosen up and the bully learns what it feels like to be respected for his ideas rather than a fierce reputation. Comedy is very uneven but the duo are energetic and likable. 98m/C VHS . Christopher Reid, Christopher Martin, Meshach Taylor, Karyn Parsons, Doug E. Doug, Ric(k) Ducommun, Rhea Perlman; D: Randall Miller; M: Vassal Benford.
