Ahlin, Cvetka, Yugoslav mezzo-soprano; b. Ljubljana, Sept. 28, 1928; d. Hamburg, June 30, 1985. She studied at the Ljubljana Academy of Music. In 1952 she made her operatic debut at the Ljubljana Opera; after winning 1st prize at the Munich Competition (1954), she was a member of the Hamburg State Opera (1955–74); also was a guest artist in various European opera centers. From 1974 she taught at the Lübeck Hochschule für Musik. Among her best roles were Orpheus, Amn-eris, Azucena, and Marina.
