Egyptian singer. Born c. 1898; died 1975; daughter of a Qur'an reciter; married a wealthy landowner; children: 2.

Popular singer and manager of the Sala Badi'a, began theatrical career (c. 1910); was also a widely recorded vocalist; retired (1950).
