Bigot (de Morogues), Marie(née Kiene), pianist
Bigot (de Morogues), Marie(née Kiene), pianist; b. Colmar, Alsace, March 3, 1786; d. Paris, Sept. 16, 1820. After her marriage in 1804, she lived in Vienna, where she was known and esteemed by Haydn and Beethoven. In 1808 she went to Paris, where she gave piano lessons from 1812. Mendelssohn was briefly her pupil in Paris at the age of 7.
