Camerloher, Placidus Cajetan von
Camerloher, Placidus Cajetan von, German composer; b. Murnau, Aug. 9, 1718; d. Freising, July 21, 1782. He studied at the Ettal Ritterakademie and in Munich. In 1744 he took holy orders and became Kapellmeister to the Freising court. He also was made prebendary at the monastery of St. Veit in 1748 and at St. Andreas in 1752, and likewise served as director of chamber music in Liège. His output included Singspiels, many syms., chamber music, and sacred pieces.
