Goedike, Alexander, Russian pianist, pedagogue, and composer of German descent; b. Moscow, March 4, 1877; d. there, July 9, 1957. He studied with Safonov and G. Pabst (piano) and Arensky (composition) at the Moscow Cons, (graduated, 1898), where he was a prof. of piano from 1909.
