Golinelli Stefano
Golinelli, Stefano, Italian pianist, teacher, and composer; b. Bologna, Oct. 26, 1818; d. there, July 3, 1891. He studied piano and counterpoint in Bologna with Donelli, and also received instruction in composition from Vaccai. He pursued a highly successful career as a pianist via European tours. He also was a prof. of piano at the Liceo Musicale in Bologna (1840-70). Golinelli wrote over 200 works for piano, many quite effective.
