Köhler, Ernst, German organist, pianist, and composer; b. Langenbielau, May 28, 1799; d. Breslau, May 26, 1847. He was 1st organist of the Elisabethkirche in Breslau from 1827 until his death. He wrote 2 syms., 9 overtures, 12 church cantatas, 12 large vocal works with orch., organ works, and piano pieces.
