Kontski, Charles de
Kontski, Charles de, Polish pianist and teacher, brother of Antoine Kontski and Apollinaire de Kontski; b. Kraków, Sept. 6, 1815; d. Paris, Aug. 27, 1867. Like his brothers, he was a child prodigy, and made appearances with them at various public exhibitions and concerts. He studied in Warsaw and in Paris, eventually settling in Paris as a private piano teacher, enjoying considerable success in society.
