Nemtin, Alexander, Russian composer; b. Perm, July 13, 1936; d. Moscow, Feb. 3, 1999. He received training at the Moscow Cons., graduating in 1960. While he wrote music in various genres, he became best known for his reification of Scriabin’s Acte préalable, the “preliminary act” of the planned Mysterium.Nemtim’s creation was based upon the sketches left by Scriabin, supplemented by music from his late works.
