Odak, Krsto

Odak, Krsto, Croatian composer and teacher; b. Siverić, Dalmatia, March 20, 1888; d. Zagreb, Nov. 4, 1965. He studied composition with P. Hartmann in Munich (1912–13) and with Novák in his master class at the Prague Cons. (1919–22). Upon his return to Yugoslavia, he was prof. of composition at the Zagreb Academy of Music, retiring in 1961.
