Successors: A. Brodsky 1895–1929, R. J. Forbes 1929–53, F. R. Cox 1953–70, J. Wray 1970–2. From 1957 gave 4 diplomas. Premises were in Ducie Street, Manchester. In 1972 merged with Northern Sch. of Mus. to become Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester.
