Sokola, Miloš

Sokola, Miloš, Czech composer; b. Bučovice, Moravia, April 18, 1913; d. Malé Kyšice, Sept. 27, 1976. He studied composition with Petrželka and violin with O. Vá;vra at the Brno Cons. (1929–38); had further composition studies at the Prague Cons. with Novák (1938–40) and Krícka (1942144). From 1942 to 1973 he was a violinist in the Prague National Theater orch.
