SIDELIGHTS: John D. Byrnes told CA: "When I discovered and began developing the means to measure human aggression, I realized that all humans needed these skills. I began teaching aggression management to employees through their employers and then to teachers and administrators through their superintendents. I charge $5,000 per day for this instruction, not something that most individuals can afford. Writing a book offers these skills at a price everyone can afford.
"I met with the late author and guru of workplace efficiency, Philip Crosby. Upon hearing my story he declared, 'You must write your book.' I explained that I did not consider myself a writer, yet he would not take 'no' for an answer. I left his office in late November. I sat down, determined to put pen to paper, and in March of the following year, I emerged with a manuscript in hand and came to realize that my journey to provide a book to all humans had just begun.
"At the time, I had an office in my home. Being task driven, I allocated two to three hours a day. By the end of spring I had completed my manuscript.
"I was inspired to write my book in order to provide affordable aggression management skills to all who would be interested."
