CAREER:
Artist. Manitou College, La Macaza, Quebec, Canada, teacher of Native arts and communication, 1974-76; installation and mixed-media artist in La Macaza, 1974-76, and Montreal, Quebec, Canada, beginning 1996. Artist in residence at Canadian institutions, including Vancouver Art Gallery, McMichael Gallery, Western Front, and Banff Centre for the Arts, and in France and the Dominican Republic. Work represented in solo exhibitions, including shows at Carrillo Gil Museum and Galeria de Art Mexicano in Mexico, Mendel Gallery in Saskatchewan, Labyrinth Gallery in Poland, and Windham College; participant in group shows in Canada and elsewhere, including Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse, NY, International Multimedia Centre, Salerno, Italy, Casa de la Cultura, Havana, Cuba, Museum of Modern Art, Tampere, Finland, and National Gallery of Canada; work collected at Thunder Bay Centre for Indian Art and Indian Art Centre, Department of Indian and Northern Affairs, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
