SIDELIGHTS:

Kristi Gold has written numerous romance novels, including Doctor for Keeps. In this novel, Miranda Brooks loses her virginity to a saxophone player in her apartment complex. When she begins her job the next day, she discovers that the saxophone player is none other than Dr. Rick Jansen, who has sworn never to date someone with whom he works and may have a lover in another city. Kathy Leitle, writing on the Romance Reader Web site, commented: "Doctor for Keeps is a satisfying story."

Fall from Grace, published in 2007, features heart surgeon Jack Morgan and his ex-wife, Anne. When Jack suffers a paralyzing stroke, Anne takes him into her home to care for him. Despite Jack's numerous past transgressions, Anne eventually believes that their love can be rekindled. Writing in the Library Journal, Kristen Ramsdell noted the novel's "solid characterizations, well-handled flashbacks, and realistic situations." Lynne Welch wrote in Booklist: "Complex and credible characters, flashbacks, and multiple points of view enrich the dramatic story."
