Connie H. Koslow told CA: "My primary motivation in writing is to tell a story, and my goal is to tell it well. Primary influences include Syd Fields, Robert McKee, Stephen King, Pat Conroy, and too many authors to list. Because I'm an Anglophile, many of my stories are set in Regency England. My Rebellious Bride is set in medieval England, and my recent screenplay is set in France. Lately I have been writing contemporary mysteries, but I'm still involved in the romance market."
