SIDELIGHTS:
Stacey A. Toben told CA: "As a young and often intense child, living in a world I didn't understand, writing always gave me comfort, allowing me to work out my feelings and frustrations. Now as an adult, I take that ability to relate my feelings and experiences on paper to help others do the same. In my book I've shared a collection of personal stories that encourage and inspire others to reach beneath the surface to recognize the good they've been given—no matter the circumstances.
"Children are my greatest love, and my writing reflects what I hope to teach them.
"When I find myself staring at a blank sheet of paper after getting four young children to sleep, I'm inspired to write about my great love—helping children. God and the events of the day show me where the need for words will be."
