Zion, Robert L.
Zion, Robert L. (1921–2000). American landscape-architect. He became a partner of Harold A. Breen (1923–95) in 1957, and designed the first vest-pocket Paley Park, East 53rd Street, NYC, transforming SLOAP into a granite-paved planted area, softened with ivies and a water-wall. Among other works may be mentioned the plaza at the base of the Statue of Liberty, NYC (1986).
