John P. Culhane Memorial Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote development in aviation careers. Focus: Aviation. Qualif.: Applicants must be enrolled in an aviation-related program at an accredited college, university, trade school or approved training center or be in current training with a certified Flight Instructor or A&P Mechanic; must have completed one year of a commercial aviation training program or at least 25% of the work toward it; must maintain a minimum GPAof 3.0 if enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school program; must be legal U.S. residents and have no felony convictions. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on commitment to aviation goals, interest in both general and commercial aviation in Alaska, evidence of financial need, personal and career goals.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from one of their current instructors attesting to the commitment of the applicant to the program; must submit a completed application form; school transcripts; proof of U.S. citizenship.
