Margaret Dowell-Gravatt, M.D. Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To encourage and support ethnic minority undergraduate women enrolled in the College of Science. Focus: Zoology; Microbiology; Medical technology; Medicine; Nursing; Physical therapy; Occupational therapy. Qualif.: Applicant must: be pursuing a degree in Zoology or Microbiology or one of the following pre-health programs: Medical Technology, Medicine, Nursing, Physical and/or Occupational therapy. Applicant must: be enrolled full-time at the sophomore, junior, or senior level; have a GPA of 2.5 overall and 3.0 in science courses required in their major field or pre-health curriculum; qualify for financial assistance as defined by the Financial Aid Office of OSU. Criteria:

Joel R. Friend Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship opportunity to the students from OSU. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be foreign students from Thailand, Taiwan (Republic of China) in attendance at OSU in any field of study; must qualify for financial assistance as defined by the Financial Aid Office of OSU. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

William Harrison Gill Education Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the students of Oregon State University. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must: be of Native American descent and must be an American citizen with a permanent or guardian residence in one of the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington or Wyoming. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Lucy Hsu Ho Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To award scholarship to the foreign students of ethnic Chinese descent. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be foreign students of ethnic Chinese descent; pimary preference in awarding the scholarship shall be given to those candidates who have demonstrated leadership in student and/or community activities and organizations, as well as the desire to serve others in the candidate's future chosen field of work. Secondary preference shall be determined by level of financial need; must re-apply for this scholarship each year; must qualify for financial assistance as defined by the Financial Aid Office of OSU. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Kilbuck Family Native American Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship opportunity to the students enrolled at Oregon State University. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above; have at least 1/16 enrolled or documented tribal affiliation; must be a graduate of Oregon or Alaska high schools. Scholarship is renewable for up to 12 terms if a 3.0 cumulative GPA is maintained. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

David W. Schacht Native American Student Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the students of Oregon State University. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must: be students of Native American descent, defined as self-identified individuals with tribal affiliation; have demonstrated ability and scholarship during high school or during previous college years; must qualify for financial assistance as defined by the Financial Aid Office of OSU. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Helen J. and Harold Gilman Smith Scholarship (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the students pursuing their first baccalaureate or graduate degree in any field of study. Focus: General study. Qualif.: Applicant must: be a Native American student; have a minimum GPA of 2.75 for their undergraduate freshman year. Graduate students must maintain the minimum GPA level required by their college graduate degree program. Preference is given to students graduating from an American Indian high school. Applicant must qualify for financial assistance as defined by the Financial Aid Office of OSU. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.

Hugh and Helen Wood Nepales Scholarship (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide scholarship to the students who are current citizens of Nepal. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicants must be current students who are citizens of Nepal; primary preference in awarding the scholarship shall be given to those candidates who agree to become a public servant in Nepal for at least five years following graduation. Other requirements include: a 3.5 GPA; a minimum TOEFL score of 550 or other language competency score satisfactory to the university: and all preparatory work completed in Nepal. Secondary consideration will be given to African American students if no Nepalese students meet the requirements. Criteria: Selection will be based on the committee's criteria.
