Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To develop a program for Italian-American law students to give them an opportunity to serve as legal interns with judges who are associations members and to assist Italian-American educators and community members with their efforts to continue the teaching of the Italian language at several involving law, government, social, historical and contemporary issues. Focus: Law. Qualif.: Applicants must be residents of Westchester County who are enrolled in any law school; must not be children of CLAW member; and should be ranked in the upper half of their class. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit a complete application form and a resume; a letter to scholarship committee demonstrating the Italian descent, academic achievement, financial need, aspirations and goals; and a firm adherence to the ideals championed by the association. Deadline: October.
