Christine H. Eide Memorial Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide educational support to visually impaired students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate college student in an accredited college/university; and must be impaired visually. Criteria: Awards are given based on academic merit and other achievements.

Funds Avail.: A maximum of $1,000. To Apply: Application form is available at the website. Applicants must complete and send the application to: Dr. Cynthia Stuen, Senior Vice President, Policy and Professional Affairs, New York Lighthouse Vision Rehabilitation Services 111 East 59th Street New York, NY 10022-1202. Lighthouse International Scholarships -College-bound Awards (High School/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide support to visually impaired students to continue their education to college. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a senior or high school

graduate; legally blind; a U.S. citizen; not related to any Lighthouse employees and not a previous winners of program. Criteria: Awards are given based on academic merit and other achievements.

Funds Avail.: $5,000. To Apply: Applicant must send an application form (can be downloaded at the website); an essay; proof of the applicant's visual condition; transcripts; and two letters of recommendation. All materials must send thru email at [email protected]. Deadline: February. Contact: [email protected].

Purpose: To provide support to visually impaired who wants to pursue a graduate -level program. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a college senior or college graduate; must be legally blind; a U.S. citizen; not related to any Lighthouse employees and not a previous winner of the program. Criteria: Awards are given based on academic merit and other achievements.
