Amato, Giovanni Antonio d'
Giovanni Antonio d' Amato (jōvän´nē äntô´nyō dämä´tō), 1475–1555, Neapolitan painter, called Il Vecchio [the elder]. He imitated the style of Perugino. Paintings by him are in many churches in Naples, among them the Holy Family in a chapel of San Domenico Maggiore.
