Nigerian computer scientist and mathematician who developed the world's fastest supercomputer. Emeagwali has made impressive contributions in a number of fields and, though forced from school at age 12, is widely regarded as one of the world's most brilliant minds. He has helped develop methods for oil recovery in nearly spent oil fields and made important contributions to the science of weather forecasting and a variety of mathematical specialties.
