Catterson, Pat (1946–)
American dancer and choreographer. Born Feb 20, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana; dau. of ballroom dancers.
Trained in a variety of dance techniques, including modern, jazz and tap, from which she developed a unique style of choreography which has been characterized as "postmodern tap"; received Fulbright scholarship (1995); created works for Dance Theater of Oregon, Ohio University, and Eglevsky Ballet, among others; was dance consultant on film I Shot Andy Warhol; taught on dance faculties of Sarah Lawrence College, UCLA, and Merce Cunningham Studio; taught composition at Juilliard School and LaGuardia High School for Performing Arts in NY.
