Dwyer, Doriot Anthony (1922–)
American flutist. Born Doriot Anthony, Mar 6, 1922, in Streator, Illinois; dau. of Edith (Maurer) Anthony and William C. Anthony.
Held position of 1st flutist for Boston Symphony Orchestra (1952–89), the 1st woman to hold a principal chair in a major American symphony orchestra.
