American stage and screen actress. Born Oct 11, 1906, in Birmingham, Alabama; died Feb 7, 1980, in Portland, Maine; m. Paul Eaton, 1944; children: daughter and son.
Made Broadway debut as Mrs. Klopp in Carry Nation (1932); played Karen Wright in The Children's Hour for two years (1934–36); films include Eyes in the Night, Isle of the Dead, The Walls Came Tumbling Down, Chicken Every Sunday, and Kid Galahad; retired (1954).
