Harshaw, Margaret (1909–1997)

American soprano and mezzo-soprano. Born May 12, 1907, in Narberth, Pennsylvania; died Sept 5, 1997, in Libertyville, Illinois; studied at Juilliard.

Best known as a Wagnerian singer (Brünnhilde, Kundry, an Isolde), was also highly regarded for her performances in Mozart and Verdi operas; served as Distinguished Professor of Voice at Indiana University.
