Argentinean novelist and short-story writer. Born May 22, 1915, in Buenos Aires, Argentina; received PhD from University of Buenos Aires.
Received international scholarships and became member of Argentinean Academy of Letters (1980); works include La cárcel de los hierros (1961), Lenguas de polvo y sueño (1965), En soledad viviá (1967), and Los rostros del engaño (1968); also wrote study of Jorge Luis Borges, Genio y figura de Borges.
