Russian novelist, poet and short-story writer. Name variations: Anastasiia Márchenko; (pseudonym) T. Ch. Born 1830; died 1880; m. military officer named Kir'iakov.

Stories, which reflect life in St Petersburg and are often tales of unrequited love, include "The Governess" and "Around and About"; novellas published under title Travel Notes; also published 4 novels, poetry, and other short prose works.
