McMillan, Ethel (1904–1987)
New Zealand politician. Born Ethel Black, May 12, 1904, in Gisborne, NZ; died Aug 13, 1987; m. David Gervan McMillan (physician and MP, 1935–43), 1929 (died 1951); children: 2 sons.
Represented Labour Party for North Dunedin (1953–63) and Dunedin North (1963–75); was the 1st woman in New Zealand to be a trustee of a savings bank (1960).
