American actress. Name variations: Signe Auen. Born Signe Auen, Nov 14, 1894, in Spokane, WA; died Aug 15, 1966, in Hollywood, CA; m. George Walsh (actor), 1916 (div. 1924).

Leading player during silent era, appeared in such films as The Blue Danube, Lavender and Old Lace, The Rush Hour, Sinners in Love, Marriage Playground, Queen Kelly, and as Princess Beloved in Intolerance, having used her real name in early credits; retired from acting (1933), then collaborated on many screenplays (1934–47).
