Became the 1st woman to work as a chef in the kitchen of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in NY (1973); had her own place, Restaurant Leslie, in Greenwich Village (1977–81); became a tv cook and cookbook author; was chef at the Inn at Pound Ridge (1990–95).
