Australian politician. Born April 29, 1943, in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia.
Was a physiotherapist (1979–90); as a member of the Liberal Party, elected to the Queensland Parliament for Landsborough (1990–92), then Caloundra (1992–); shadow minister for Employment, Training, Industrial Relations and the Arts (2000–01); served as Liberal Party Leader (1991–98), the 1st woman to lead a political party.
